**In order for the staff and family to honor Mr Joe, The Gator Stop, Peddler #3, and The Village Peddler, in Cuthbert will be closed on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. **

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Joseph (Bodie) Phillip Herring. “Bodie” as he is affectionately known, lost his battle to cancer today, December 29, 2023. Please continue to pray for his wife, Jackie, his sons, Phillip (Meg), Christopher (Mallory), Chase (Laura), his grandchildren (Ana,
Reese, Alex, Hollan, Brooklyn, Raines, Merritt, Step-Grandchildren, Olivia, Paisley, and Noah), the entire Herring family, and his staff as they navigate through the next days, weeks, and months without him. He will be greatly missed by so many.

**Funeral services for Joe "Bodie" Herring will be held Tuesday 1-2-24 at 11 AM in the First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery Addition. The visitation will be held Monday 1-1-24, from 5 PM until 7 PM, at the Church.**

The Gator Stop's fishing pro, Rodger Beaver, weighed in on the first day with four fish, weighing in at 9 lbs 12 oz putting him 8 pounds out of the lead and in 100th place out of 210 boats.
