Just a heads up on what the DNR has planed for licensing systems like the one in our store and many others.
A letter was sent out to use and here are the main points.
Starting March of 2025 the DNR will no longer be providing any computers, printers, or scanners for the stores that have them now.
The new system will be accessed on line from a computer the we need to provide along with printer and scanner, at our cost.
The licenses will be printed on standard 8.5x11" paper. The durable paper that is being used now will not be available any more.
You will able to get an app for harvest registration and validation of a license.
We will not be putting our customer's personnel information into a computer that we own. That is just asking for trouble in my opinion.
Recently there was a survey sent out from the DNR to business like ours and the only two question other then basic information were, " are you a seasonal business, and are you a corporation (ex: Walmart, Holiday)?"
So in the future, unfortunately you maybe seeing a lot less licensing systems in small business like ours.
We will miss selling licenses to the many many customers that come in every year. It is our hope you will still stop in to see us.
