Check out this wine review on Chapoutier Belleruche Cotes du Rhone Rose from our friend Wine Mizer
Weather warms & tastes change. Monday, it was a rose. Not the Provance style and as Jerry Seinfeld said, “Not that there’s anything wrong with that.” Monday’s mood was for something with more body. That’s the beauty of rose: Roses made from specific varietals (Sangiovese, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, et al – so many options and then the blends). This 2023 offering is 50% Grenache, 40% Syrah & 10% Cinsault from labeled as “Belleruche” rose . ARP per is $15. has it at $11.69 and I have said before that “Anything M. Chapoutier labels I will happily consume”. No pairing (I wasn’t cooking but it would go well with a charcuterie or grilled chicken). No, I just wanted to enjoy a glass in my new geezer compound. Expect a that is fresh & lively with notes to the nose of fennel and apricot, berries and melon. The winery was founded in 1808 and has been a precursor of biodynamic faming and whose wines have been consistently awarded. Medium bodied, this dry offers red berry and a subtle complexity of fresh fruit to the palate. Short post today because I’m cooking for “Sweetie” later. Let’s see how I pull it off with this horrid electric stove in the geezer apartment. ALC: 13.5%. Imported by: the (Napa, CA).
