🌸 Cherry Blossom Festival This Saturday 🌸

I have a last minute and very exciting update to share with you. I was just invited to participate in the Cherry Blossom Festival hosted by The Creative Space, and I could not be more excited to say yes.

This beautiful spring festival celebrates the season and will feature local makers, artists, and small businesses. It is always such a charming event and the perfect way to spend a Saturday morning in Old Town Elk Grove. 🌸

Because this event came together quickly for me, I decided to make it extra fun for anyone who stops by the Magic Feather Shoppe booth.

Wait… are they pink 💗 or blue 💙?

If you know, you know.

These newest wool felted mouse ears are inspired by one of the most iconic fairy arguments of all time. One moment the gown is pink… the next moment it’s blue… and the magic keeps going back and forth.

So naturally we couldn’t choose either.

These elegant wool felted mouse ears feature classic white mouse heads with soft pink bows on one side, and when you flip them around you reveal blue bows on the other side. Two looks in one pair. Fully reversible depending on your mood, your outfit, or which fairy you agree with today.

March is Women’s History Month and I wanted to share a little behind the scenes of The Magic Feather Shoppe.

These photos are little girl versions of me. The same girl who now runs this shop you see online and at markets.

When you support a small business like mine, you are supporting one person who wears a lot of hats. Designer, photographer, content creator, customer service, shipping department, and everything in between.

Every pair of ears, every blanket design, every social media post, and every package that leaves my house has my hands behind it.

Sometimes I wish I could go back and tell that little girl that one day she would build something magical all on her own.

But maybe it is better that she didn’t know. She just kept dreaming.

And somehow those dreams became The Magic Feather Shoppe.

Spring just hopped into the wool felted series… and it might be the cutest pair yet. 🐰🌸

Dearest gentle readers… ✨

It appears the ton has been buzzing with whispers of a most curious revival in the kingdom of frills and feathers. And while this season of Bridgerton has offered its own delightful nod to a certain fairytale transformation, I could not help but be reminded of the most dramatic duo from Cinderella… the ever memorable stepsisters themselves.

One must admit, if Anastasia and Drizella had been invited to the ball in proper style, they would have arrived adorned in the most extravagant fashion imaginable. Feathers fluttering. Florals blooming. Lights shimmering with just the right amount of spectacle.

Which brings us to these newly revived floral mouse ears.

A familiar favorite from the past has returned, but with a bit more drama worthy of the ballroom. Think lush florals, delicate feathers, twinkling lights, and all the frills a proper entrance demands. The sort of ears that would surely cause a stir from the palace steps to the gardens beyond.

After all, not every fairytale heroine arrives quietly. Some of us prefer a little extra flair. 💐✨
