We've got Bobcat Opossum live this Sunday from 3-5!
Folk/Americana duo Bobcat Opossum is Sean Hoffman and Ellen Coplin. Meeting in 2020, they quickly found a shared love of the outdoors and all things musical. Their music is based on their love of harmony singing and songs that “tell a good story”. As songwriters, both Coplin and Hoffman weave tales of family, self-empowerment, and a good dose of wanderlust. Hoffman’s “Kissin’ In The Rain” (co-released in 2025 w/ their 7-piece band Debutants) won Folk Song of the Year at the Naptone Awards in their home state of Indiana. Multi-instrumentalists on fiddle, cello, guitar, piano, and concertina their playing has been described as “virtuosic” by Kyra Dean (Tri-States Public Radio).
In 2025, they have shared stages with Shovels and Rope and Jason Carter Band (The Acorn, Three Oaks, MI), Grammy Award winners The Steeldrivers (Honeywell Center, Wabash, IN), roots/rock band The Steel Wheels(Redwing Roots Music Festival), and Damn Tall Buildings (The Ark, Ann Arbor, MI) among others.
