From the molasses-heavy dark rums of the Caribbean to the grassy brightness of French-style rhum agricole, this is a spirit that truly speaks in many dialects.

Enter Merkin Vineyards and its sister project, Caduceus Cellars, helmed by none other than Maynard James Keenan, the lead singer of Tool, A Perfect Circle, and Puscifer.

Yes, you read that right. Rock star turned winemaker. And not just any winemaker — Maynard is dead serious about Arizona wine, and the results are turning heads and challenging expectations. What started as a passion project has grown into one of the most compelling wineries in the Southwest, one that shines a spotlight on the rugged potential of Arizona terroir.
