The Food Service Associate position at Great Scotts is responsible for preparing food products, maintaining and stocking self-serve food items as well as over the counter food items, and ensuring that all food at Great Scotts is fresh. We strive to be known for providing great quality fresh foods.

Duties:
1. Providing exceptional customer service to everyone who visits our store.
2. Ensures that all foods receive the correct prep and storage to maintain freshness.
3. Have a sense of ownership over the kitchen and everything that goes on in the kitchen.
4. Maintains a very clean and hygienic work environment.
5. Put all weekly deliveries/ freight away in their proper place.
6. Cooks all food according to specifications and temperatures.
7. Being proactive throughout the day and have the ability to organize time in order to be effective and efficient.
8. Provide courteous assistance when needed, and show a positive attitude at all times.
9. Be knowledgeable about products within the store as well as all promotions.
10. Maintaining store cleanliness.
11. Willing to take the food handlers permit class and pass a test.

Requirements and Education:
1. Food Handler’s Permit (Obtain within 3 months after hiring)
2. High School diploma (or equivalent)
3. Be happy! Outgoing and friendly attitude
4. Maintain a clean and presentable appearance
5. Customer service experience
6. Be available to work some weekends

Physical Requirements:
1. Be able to stand for an extended period of time
2. Movement frequently requires standing, walking, bending, twisting; reaching, and kneeling or crouching
3. Must frequently lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Key Skills:
1. Accountability
2. Excellent customer service skills
3. Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
4. Basic math skills
5. Able to follow directions and perform well under pressure

Job Types: Full-time, 8am-5pm (May change)

Salary: $11.00 to $15.00 /hour (Depending on Experience)
