Webster County Speedway 2026 Figure 8 Nationals
Night 1:
🏁 Aubriella started the night off strong, picking up a 1st place finish in her heat race! She went on to get a 3rd-place finish in the feature. With just two laps remaining, the harmonic balancer broke on her car, but she managed to hold her position! Her finish earned her a 2nd row inside starting position in the Championship race!
🏁 Landon had a solid night as well, finishing 3rd in his heat race and 5th in the feature! His strong performance earned him a spot in Saturday night’s Championship race, allowing him to skip the Last Chance Qualifier and head straight into the big show!
🏁 Jeff, unfortunately, didn’t have quite the same luck. On the very first lap of his heat race, a car spun directly in front of him. He was able to lock up the brakes and avoid hitting the car, but another driver wasn’t able to avoid him, making contact with his rear quarter and breaking the axle. Unfortunately, the damage was enough to end night 1 for him!
Night 2:
🏁 Aubriella battled hard in the Championship race, fighting for 4th place when she took a hit that broke the rack and pinion. With very little ability to steer, she was still able to safely get the car off the track. Unfortunately, the damage ended her Nationals run, and she finished 6th.
🏁 Landon started the Championship race in 5th place and fell back to 13th early on. He worked his way back through the field and, after all the shenanigans, brought home a strong 5th place finish!
🏁 Jeff raced his way to a 1st-place finish in the Last Chance Qualifier, earning his spot in the Championship race! Starting 8th, he wasted no time working his way through the field, taking over 2nd within just a few laps. From there, it was a hard fought battle for the lead! After numerous cautions, it all came down to the final lap…final corner… and some good old dirt track racing! As the two battled for the win, the leader went around, and though Jeff crossed the finish line first he was ultimately called for questionable driving. An unfortunate end to his night.
🏁 The Lyon Racing Team would like to send a huge THANK YOU to all the volunteers, track officials, and workers who put in countless hours to make weekends like this possible! We know racing comes with its share of highs, lows, and tough calls. Decisions have to be made in a split second, and while we may not always agree with the outcome, we respect the decisions made and appreciate the people willing to make them. At the end of the day, we’re thankful to have a great facility and a dedicated group of people who make it possible for us to do what we love!
That’s a wrap on our 2026 racing season! Thanks to our sponsors and everyone who has supported Lyon Racing along the way. Until next season! 🏁✌️🏁
