It’s named after the godfather of modern whiskey, Elmer T. Lee. The guy who basically invented modern single-barrel bourbon and helped revive the entire premium whiskey market from its deathbed.
The smell alone is intoxicating with notes of clove, vanilla, light leather and soft oak, while the flavor comes through with hints of honey, vanilla and balanced spice with a very smooth, warm, slightly spicy finish.
