🔊 Detroit took over Paris! After a two-year break, the Techno Parade returned for its 26th edition, naming Detroit its guest of honor. Around 350,000 people filled the streets to celebrate techno, with Detroit legends Kevin Saunderson, DJ Minx, and DJ Holographic representing the sound that started it all right here in the Motor City. 🖤🎶

✨ Detroit history, reimagined as wearable art.

Detroit-based Rebel Nell transformed a piece of the city’s architectural history into this one-of-a-kind jewelry, crafted from scrap canvas removed from the ceiling of the iconic Guardian Building during a renovation.

What was once part of one of Detroit’s most treasured landmarks has been given a beautiful second life, turning a piece of the city’s past into something you can carry with you.

It’s a little piece of Detroit history, a lot of local creativity, and a reminder that the city’s stories are everywhere you look. ❤️

✨ Meet Mark! Mark has been a tour guide with us for almost a year, sharing the fascinating history of Detroit’s iconic Guardian Building. Outside of guiding tours, he’s an amateur painter whose work has been featured in shows across the country, and he also holds a B.A. in Medieval History! 🎨🏛️ We’re lucky to have someone with such a unique blend of history and artistic talent on our team. ❤️
