Veterans have always been a big part of Barleys.

This bar was once owned by a veteran, we have veterans behind the bar, and plenty who have sat on the other side of it over the years. So supporting our veterans is something that means a lot to us.

We’ve got a Christmas Toy Drive box set up here at Barleys to help support local veteran families this holiday season. If you’re stopping in for a b**r, consider bringing a toy to drop in the box. A little goes a long way.

And while we’re at it, let’s show up for the people who have shown up for us. 🇺🇸

The Delaware Veterans Parade is Sunday, November 1st at 3 PM in Downtown Delaware.

Get your butt downtown, line the streets, wave a flag, and show these men and women some love.

We appreciate our veterans more than we can put into words. And we’re damn proud to have so many of them as part of the Barleys family.

Well, we’ve officially decided to combine two things that don’t necessarily belong together.

Running and drinking b**r. 🍺

Introducing the FIRST ANNUAL BARLEY HOPSTERS B**R MILE, sponsored by our friends at Wolf’s Ridge Brewing.

Here’s the deal.

1 mile.
4 b**rs.
A b**r stop every 400 meters.
And absolutely no requirement to be good at running.

Run it. Walk it. Shuffle your way through it. We’re not judging. This is a B**r Mile, not the Olympics.

📍 Boardman Arts Park, Delaware
📅 Saturday, November 21
🍺 Registration opens at 11 AM
🏁 First heat starts at 11:15 AM

We’ll be sending people out in heats of 6–8, so don’t worry about getting trampled by a bunch of people who take their running shoes way too seriously.

$40 gets you into the event AND an event shirt.

Afterward, we’re heading back to Barleys for awards and an afterparty. Because obviously.

A few things before you sign up:

👉 You MUST be 21+ and bring a valid photo ID. Yes, even if you’re 70 and everyone knows you. No ID, no b**r mile.

👉 Make a plan to get home BEFORE you come. Park downtown and arrange a sober ride, designated driver, or walk home if you can do so safely. Please don’t drive after drinking.

👉 Go at your own pace. Seriously.

Apparently we’re keeping the festivities going all weekend. 🧙‍♂️🍻

Wizard Fest took over Boardman Arts Park today, but we’re not calling it a night just yet.

We switched things up and tonight’s trivia is officially NERD TRIVIA!

All those years of knowing way too much about things that probably don’t matter might finally pay off.

It’s Late Night Delaware and apparently we’re getting a little witchy over here at Barleys.

We’ve got Witches Brew WITH GLITTER. Because apparently regular alcohol just isn’t magical enough.

Rick has already committed to his best witchy outfit. We’re not sure what spell he’s trying to cast, but we’re pretty sure it involves another b**r.

And since it’s ADULT trick-or-treat… we’ve got a treat for you. FREE CHILI! 🌶️

Yep. Free chili. No tricks. Just show up.
