Please share, also just friendly advice! If you come to the wonderful area of Newton County at any point DON’T pick up dogs! No matter how lost or scared you think they look just DON’T. We lose more dogs in the county than I have seen in any other place due to tourist coming and thinking these dogs were dumped or lost. Our dogs roam free, most people in this area have numerous acres and their dogs run around free. So if you find a dog roaming around do the following.

Leave the dog alone
Get back in or stay in your vehicle
Move along
Whatever you do, DO NOT pick the dog up!
If you are concerned, call the Sheriff’s office and give them the information and let them handle it from there.

This dog was probably just doing what all of our dogs do and being a dog running around checking their territory when someone picked them up. Drove back to where they live and turned into a shelter. It makes no sense to pick a dog up in one county and take it to another county to turn into a shelter, the owners are not going to think to look that far away.

Also, since this was an issue in another page. I am not shaming anyone. All I am trying to do is give some alternative ideas to solve these issues.

If work requires you to wear a mask, OSHA requires that your employer verifies you are receiving the minimum of 19.5% oxygen level by law! Are your oxygen levels being monitored while at work? Are you experiencing dizziness and headaches? This is a written law NOT a recommendation! I guarantee if employees started citing law and demanding their employers follow the law then the masks would go away!
