Water You Doing? — MaDe’s Mythbusters
Does Drinking More Water Actually Give You More Energy?
It’s 3:00 PM.
Your eyes are tired. Your brain has stopped cooperating. Your motivation has officially left the building.
So what do you reach for?
Coffee? An energy drink? A snack?
MaDe has a better question:
Water You Doing?
Sometimes that afternoon slump may have something to do with not drinking enough water.
MYTH: “Water gives you energy.”
BUSTED… sort of.
Water isn't caffeine. It won't suddenly make you bounce off the walls.
But your body needs water to function properly. When you're dehydrated, you may feel tired, sluggish, thirsty, or just plain worn out.
Think of it this way:
Caffeine pushes the gas pedal.
Water helps keep the engine running.
MYTH: “I’ll drink water when I get thirsty.”
MaDe says: Don’t wait until your body starts sending emergency notifications.
Keep water nearby and sip throughout the day.
At your desk, in the car, after a workout, during that meeting that should have been an email.
THE TRUTH IS!
If you're feeling sluggish, your first solution doesn't always have to be another cup of coffee.
Sometimes…
you just need a drink of water, Neighbor.
So before you blame Monday, your boss, the weather, or your alarm clock…
CHECK THE WATER BOTTLE.
MADe’s Mythbuster Verdict
Does water give you energy like caffeine?
NOPE.
Can being properly hydrated help you feel and function better?
ABSOLUTELY.
So grab a cold bottle and get your hydration situation together.
Because around here, there's only one question left:
WATER YOU DOING?
