With a heavy heart we are sad to announce that The Rock Shop at Tanger is closing. We appreciate all of the love and support we have received over the years.
We have been proud to spread the stones, good vibes, and energy during our time at Tanger. Thank You, to all of our customers and visitors. We are grateful to have assisted so many wonderful people over the years.

This was sudden and unexpected, we apologize for the lack of communication. If you have items you have purchased with us that you are waiting to collect. Please reach out through Instagram or our page.

Mosasaurus was a large, carnivorous aquatic reptile that thrived during the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 70 to 66 million years ago. The name “Mosasaurus” translates to “Meuse lizard,” named after the Meuse River near the location of its first discovery in the Netherlands.

Size
Some specimens of Mosasaurus reached lengths exceeding 56 feet (about 17 meters), which is roughly equivalent to the length of a school bus. This size made it one of the largest marine reptiles of its time.

Discoveries
Fossils of Mosasaurus have been found in various locations around the world, including North America, Europe, and Africa. These discoveries often include well-preserved skeletons that provide insight into its physical characteristics and lifestyle.

Diet and Hunting
As a top predator, Mosasaurus primarily fed on fish, other marine reptiles, and possibly even large ammonites. Its sharp teeth and strong jaws were ideal for grasping slippery prey.
