From the heat and humidity we're experiencing in the midwest, one might think we are in the middle of July.
However, Mother Nature is sending messages about Her plans for a fall season just around the corner.
No word yet if it will be a cool or a warm fall though.

This morning, a storm quickly passed through Circle K Farm. While brief, it did blow out a window in the milk house, which is attached to the barn. Yes, many decades ago, the farm had a dairy. The little milk house was where the big, metal milk cans, filled with fresh milk, were put in the water cooler until Horace, our milk man, stopped to pick up the cans of cooled milk later in the mornings. Later meaning between 7-8 am!
We are so grateful to know Nick, who was able to make the window repair yet today. Nick does a great job! He's truly a craftsman and such a nice man, too.
If you have a need for a job for a carpenter or cabinet maker, you may find him on Facebook at Woods n Goods.

We tried one raised bed at Grandma's House this summer. With this tiny addition, smiling flowers now join the morning sunshine to greet our guests from the kitchen window at the beginning of each summer day.

This is one of our favorite things about the farm. 🌿

People gathering around tables, working on projects, studying, sharing ideas, having conversations, and building community.

Thank you for making this place so special. 🤍

One of the sweetest parts of hosting—our guest book 🤍
We love looking back on the memories left by those who’ve stayed with us.
It’s always waiting in the living room for the next story to be written.
