Keep it going!

The School Board will appoint someone to fill the at-large seat recently vacated by Allison Spillman. There is no public vote. The remaining six board members will choose the person who represents every family in the county, but families still haven’t been told how they’ll make that choice.

We are asking the board to conduct the appointment process in public:

1) Release the applications when it releases the interview and public hearing schedule.
2) Put the selection criteria in writing and release them to the public ASAP.
3) Hold the interviews + as much of this process as possible, in public.

You can help by emailing the board and requesting these, along with anything else that matters to you.

If you’d rather speak, School Board meetings also include time for public comment. The next one will be on Sept. 10 at 6:30pm.
