The Uco Valley runs hot days and cold nights at serious altitude, yielding wines that are leaner and more structured than what you get from classic Mendoza. Celina Bartolomé farms with her father Alejandro. Their label, Pielihueso, “skin and bones” says everything about the winemaking: nothing more than what’s needed.

We tasted these bottles back in February when we were making selections for March Wine Club—but selfishly kept them out of the club to give them a more permanent place on our shelves, so here they are!

A break from the heat and a sky full of sunshine to welcome the back for the season! These market nights are some of the greatest, and they mark the return of our weekly Wednesday tastings from 4:00-6:30.

Today we’re pouring two west coast heavy hitters that will do just fine at your Memorial Day BBQ. Swing by the market then stop by the shop to find your new summer favorite.

We’re pouring a beautiful Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc from 1–4 today. Come taste why Sancerre lives up to the hype.

The appellation is small, the farming is demanding, and the standards are high. That’s not marketing, that’s why good Sancerre is hard to find and worth paying for—and Lauverjat’s Moulin des Vrillères 2025 is one of the best values in the appellation.

If you’re looking for something special for Mother’s Day this weekend, this bottle is a very good place to start. 🤗

Coxsackie, the May wine club has dropped and we are on island time! Four Mediterranean wines from four stunning islands.

The white selection is golden, bright, and salty sea-breezed. The red selection is light-bodied with high-toned fruit, best served with a chill.

As always, the One and Done Wine Club spotlights bottles that won’t live on our shelves. Two bottles. One theme. Then on to the next. No sign ups or obligations, but once they’re gone, they’re GONE!

The One and Done Wine Club is our way of spotlighting wines we’re excited about but don’t normally keep on the shelf. No sign-ups or obligations and quantities are small by design—but once they’re gone, they’re gone!

April club focuses on Grenche four ways. In the Red Bag ($55), we move from the Rhône to Mendocino for two wildly different expressions. In the Not Red Bag ($47) we taste through Grenache Blanc (white) and Grenache Noir (rosé).

Each bag comes with tasting notes and winemaker backstory. Pop them open together, give the bag as a gift, or break’em apart to have two trusty bottles on your shelf at home.

Just a few April bags left before we hop over to May (👀📍🏝️🍷). Come snag yours this weekend!

Georgia (the country, not the state) is widely considered the birthplace of wine, with a winemaking tradition stretching back at least 8,000 years. founded in 2007 by American painter John Wurdeman and Georgian farmer Gela Patalishvili, is rooted in that history and committed to keeping it alive. Working from the hillside town of Sighnaghi in the eastern Kakheti region, they’ve spent nearly two decades tracking down and reviving indigenous Georgian grape varieties—more than 150 of them—that were on the verge of disappearing. They also helped found Georgia’s Natural Wine Association and opened Tbilisi’s first natural wine bar. Their influence on the eastern European natural wine scene is hard to overstate.

We have 12 bottles of each. Join us from 1–4 PM on Saturday as we open them and celebrate a little part of the wine world worth knowing about.

Rkatsiteli-Bodbiskhevi (2024), $26: One of Georgia’s oldest and most planted white varieties, sourced from the Bodbiskhevi subregion of Kakheti.

Adjara Chkhaveri Dry (2024), $29: A rare red-skinned grape from the western Adjara region on the Black Sea coast, producing light, bright, aromatic wines unlike anything else in Georgia.

We’re touring Italy from bottom to top today! Join us for a free in-store tasting from 1-4 PM.

Isola del Satiro Bianca Terre Siciliane ($17) is a bright, saline Sicilian white built for Mediterranean dishes and slow afternoons.

Prima Piuma Monferrato ($27) is Nebbiolo on its best behavior: lighter on its feet than big brothers Barolo or Barbaresco, but still recognizably itself with notes of flowers, earth, and that characteristic tug of tannin.

Both bottles are completely transportive, bringing a sense of place right to your glass—and both are very much at home on your Easter table.
