The last batch came out of the aging room.

Now the next one goes in.

Five different ci**rs. A little cedar. Twelve months of doing absolutely nothing to them except having the patience to leave them alone.

Gary already has theories about which ones are going to change the most.

We’ll find out if he was right… a year from now.

That’s the fun of this.

You don’t get to rush it.

You don’t get to skip ahead.

You just wait.

Apparently, Carlito Fuente is still living in 1968.

And we’re not complaining.

A fresh shipment of Fuente Rare Pinks just landed at Aficionado’s — six different sizes, very limited quantities, and a portion of the proceeds supports breast cancer awareness.

Gary’s advice?

Wear a flower in your hair if you want.

Just don’t wait too long to get here. 😂

A little humidor housekeeping…

My Father Blue is finally back. Ten boxes landed, and judging by how fast people became fans the first time around, we don’t expect them to sit very long.

And that’s not the only thing coming.

Gary has a very small allocation of the 10th Anniversary and a limited-production Maduro release on the way next.
Translation:

If there’s something here you want, this probably isn’t the week to “think about it.”

Stop by before Gary has to tell you it’s gone.

Some releases are limited.

This one is 250 boxes limited.

Casa Carrillo created Pledge of Allegiance: The Rocket for America’s 250th anniversary — and exactly one of those boxes landed at Aficionado’s.

Twenty ci**rs.

That’s it.

So Gary has instituted a very complicated allocation system:

Two per person. Don’t ask for three. 😂

And when the ci**rs are gone, apparently even the box is up for grabs.

If this one has your name on it, I wouldn’t wait too long.

You can’t rush this one.

Once a year, Gary takes a few ci**rs, puts them away in our aging humidor, and then does the hardest thing possible:
Leaves them alone.

No checking every week. No shortcuts. Just time doing what time does.

A year later, they come back out — sometimes richer, sometimes deeper, sometimes just completely different from what’s sitting on the shelf today.

And this year’s batch is officially ready.

The fun part isn’t just smoking them.

It’s comparing what a year of patience actually did.

Small quantities. Once these are gone, the next experiment takes another year.

Come smell and taste the difference for yourself.

🍂Fall has one big advantage:

Dinner gets interesting again.

Roasted vegetables. Hearty dishes. A little more time in the kitchen. And w**es that can actually keep up with what’s on the plate.

Ernesto Perez-Carrillo has been doing this for a very long time.

And somehow, he’s still finding new ways to keep your attention.
