TONIGHT! CALL/TEXT 305-877-2777 TO RSVP!
Miami Wine Lovers, please join us Thursday, September 10th at 6:30 PM for a tasting of three distinctive wines from Spain—including an extremely rare Canary Islands white, a fresh modern Priorat, and a classic Ribera del Duero Crianza.
We’ll begin with Gallina de Piel Mazapé Blanco, a single-vineyard white from Tenerife in the Canary Islands, made from 70% Gual and 30% Vijariego Blanco. Created by former El Bulli sommelier David Seijas, it is aged on its lees in concrete eggs and oak, giving the wine a silky, mineral profile with tropical fruit, smoky notes, and remarkable texture. Fewer than 500 bottles were produced.
Next is Gallina de Piel Esclafit from Priorat DOCa, also crafted by David Seijas. A blend of 70% Cariñena and 30% Garnacha, it represents a fresher, more elegant “Priorat 2.0” style, with dark fruit, spice, minerality, and the structure Priorat is known for without excessive heaviness.
We’ll conclude with Páramo de Corcos Crianza 2018 from Ribera del Duero. Rich and structured, it shows ripe cherry and plum, leather, mineral and balsamic notes, with roasted coffee, vanilla, and sweet spice from aging; the palate is full and savory with velvety tannins and a long finish.
The wines will be paired with delicious tapas, and all featured wines will be available for purchase for 15% off after the tasting.
🇪🇸 Three very different regions, three very different expressions of Spanish wine—from volcanic Tenerife to Priorat and Ribera del Duero.
