✨ A Little About How Hometown Goods Local Market Came to Be ✨

One year ago, we took a leap of faith.

We closed and sold our business in Michigan and moved to Conway so my daughter, Paige, could attend Coastal Carolina University. Paige is the owner of Ell's Gourmet Popcorn, (Ell's is for our last name Elliott) a business she started when she was just 15 years old. She brought her business with her to South Carolina, and today the sales from her popcorn pay for her college tuition.
When we arrived, we wanted to create something special—not just for ourselves, but for other small businesses, makers, and artists. Back in our hometown, we loved having a local market where small businesses could showcase their products, and the community loved it too. We thought, "Why not bring that idea here?"

So in March 2025, Hometown Goods Local Market was born.

Our vision was simple: provide a space where local artisans, creators, and entrepreneurs could have a storefront presence without the enormous expense of opening a shop of their own. We wanted to create a place where people could discover unique products while supporting local dreams.

Over the past year, we've fallen in love with Conway. This town is beautiful, welcoming, and full of wonderful people. We are incredibly grateful to be part of this community and to share our store with so many talented artisans.

Most importantly, we want to say THANK YOU. Thank you to every customer who has walked through our doors, shared a post, told a friend about us, or supported one of our vendors. Your support means more than you know.

Even after a year, we still meet people who live in Conway and say, "I never knew this store was here!" So we're asking for a little help. ❤️
