A Celebration of Life will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, Sixth and Locust Sts. Columbia PA on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 11:00 AM, Rev. Rick Fischl, officiating. There will be no public viewing; however, the family will welcome friends one hour prior to the service. Private interment will be held in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens for immediate family only.

We want to thank everyone for the outpouring of love, prayers, and kind words. It brings us comfort to see how many lives Jim touched over the years. He loved this community and was so grateful for every friendship and connection he made through the business.

Your support means more to us than we can ever express. ❤️

It’s with heavy hearts that we share this news. My pap Jim Stover peacefully passed away at the age of 81 while being surrounded by his family. My pap was not just a business owner - he was the heart and soul of Stovers News. He was truly grateful and cared for every customer, every employee, and every person who walked through our doors and supported our family business over the years. You were all truly a part of his extended family. His kindness, humor, and dedication will never be forgotten. His legacy will live on in the community that he loved so much, and in all of you who had an honor of knowing him. At this time, we kindly ask that everyone respects the privacy of the Stover family as we navigate this loss. Thank you for keeping our family and loved ones in your thoughts.
