B**R DETOUR!!!!!

A couple road construction updates for anyone traveling around the Micron area over the next few weeks.

According to the Town of Clay, NYSDOT is scheduled to begin work at the Route 31 and Burnet Road intersection on November 9.

The project is expected to take about six weeks and will include new turn lanes and a traffic signal to help improve traffic flow and safety.

The Town also says Micron/Gilbane has sent notification letters to nearby residents and businesses with details about the work and contact information for questions or concerns.

There is also paving planned at the Route 31 and Caughdenoy Road intersection.

That work is expected to happen overnight next week to help limit daytime traffic impacts. If weather or other conditions delay the work, the Town says paving is scheduled for November 7.

Anyone traveling through either area should expect temporary traffic changes, construction crews and possible delays.

I’ll keep an eye out for the actual resident notification letter or any additional NYSDOT information if it gets posted publicly.
