Traffic stop leads to fi****ms arrest:

Chicopee MA- On Wednesday May 13, 2026 at approximately 8:00pm, an officer monitoring traffic on Meadow St. observed a motor vehicle with what appeared to be an attached plate. The vehicle in question was a black Honda Civic, the plate attached to the vehicle came back to a Subaru Impreza. The officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on the vehicle and was able to identify the operator as Adam Battles. Adam explained that he just recently purchased the vehicle and that the plates belonged to him. As a result of the vehicle not being registered or insured, the Officer told Adam that it had to be towed.

While conducting an inventory search of the vehicle, Officers located a clear plastic bag with what appeared to be ma*****na in it along with several empty plastic bags, a digital scale and loose cash on the passenger side floor board. Officers also located a backpack containing a loaded handgun. A records check was conducted on Adam and it showed that he did not have a license to carry a firearm. As a result he was placed under arrest.

Adam Battles a 24 year old male from Chicopee was arrested and charged with the following:
