We’re proud to be part of Reduce Waste Chicago 5th Annual Sustainability Market on Sunday, September 27th from 10am - 4pm!

Stop by and say hi! We’ll be at Northcenter Town Square along with other local small businesses, artists and organizations dedicated to eco-friendly practices. There will also be items for reuse, repurposing and specialty recycling! You can find the full list of accepted items on Reduce Waste Chicago’s website.

Curious about our Folk Skills workshop series? We answered a few frequently asked questions 🔎

Our Folk Skills classes kickoff tomorrow (Tuesday) with Nandi from Nandi | Upcycled Goods + Clothing Repair teaching how to change the garment lifecycle by using mending techniques 🪡

The next class is taught by Courtney The Tangled Homesteader on September 29th introducing natural dyeing with various bark, roots, leaves and flowers 🎨

Look at this gorgeous produce we got from globalgardenschicago , just down Lawrence Ave! Carrots, green beans, beets, kale, and not pictured is bok choy and lettuce. We also got a delivery of frozen fruit from Mick Klug Farms today, and, per usual, we also have crimini mushrooms from River Valley Mushroom Farm.

We know there have been a lot of fruit and veggie recalls lately, but the source of the problem is not your nearby, independent farmers. You can eat this local produce without worry.
