Tonight’s the night, Lakeview 🍶🎷

Join us from 5 to 7:30pm for Jazz & Jizake, an intimate evening of live jazz, cozy neighborhood vibes, and beautifully crafted sake tucked right among the bottle shelves.

We’re welcoming the Riley Martin Jazz Quartet for a soulful set while we pour the good stuff, including $8 sake and wine pours all night.

“Jizake” is the local, small batch side of sake. Expressive, artisanal, and full of character. Basically, sake with a sense of place, just like jazz.

Whether you’re a sake nerd, jazz lover, or just looking for a perfect Tuesday night hang, this one’s for you.

Tonight, we’re pouring free samples from Hachinohe Shuzo, a historic sake brewery from Aomori dating back to 1775 — and brand new to our store shelves.

Known for brewing with Aomori-grown sake rice and yeast, Hachinohe Shuzo brings a deep sense of place to every bottle. Their lineup includes Mutsu Otokoyama, a crisp, dry sake beloved in local fishing villages, and Mutsu Hassen, known for its beautiful ginjo aroma and refreshing sweetness.

Namazake is officially on our shelves and this is the moment sake lovers wait all year for. Unlike most sake, namazake is unpasteurized, which means it keeps all of its bright, lively character straight from the brewery. Think crisp, vibrant, a little zippy sometimes even slightly effervescent. It’s sake in its freshest form.

Why spring? Because this is when these releases arrive after winter brewing season in Japan. They’re seasonal, limited, and once they’re gone… they’re gone until next year.

Meet the brewer tonight 🍶

Join us at Wrigleyville from 6–8PM for a special tasting with Izumibashi Shuzo, one of Japan’s rare “seed to sip” breweries.

They don’t just brew sake, they grow their own rice, staying deeply connected to the land in Ebina, Kanagawa. Look for the red dragonfly on the label, a symbol of a clean, thriving ecosystem.

Expect savory, full-bodied pours crafted using traditional Kimoto and Yamahai methods. This is sake with serious character and a story behind every sip.
