Update: New sentencing date is now this coming Tuesday (sept 1st) at 1:00 pm.

Does anyone remember the story from a few months ago where over 20k dollars was embezzled from us by a former employee?

Here is an update on that:

Against what we had told the assistant prosecutor we wanted (and him understanding that we gave him a couple options to offer and if nothing was accepted then we wanted to go to trial), the cheboygan county prosecutor agreed to a plea deal. The plea deal is her pleading no contest to "more than 1k less than 20k" that is a felony charge BUT if she completes 6 months of probation then that charge gets REDUCED to a misdemeanor.

We have a very provable number of $22,600 that was taken from us over about a 12 month period, and she gets offered a deal that could turn this whole thing into a misdemeanor?

Her sentencing is June 2nd at 1:00 pm at the 53rd circuit court with Judge gauthier. That is in the cheboygan county building on the 2nd floor. If anyone would like to come to the sentencing to show us some support that would be amazing.
