Behind the Blend starts November with Drew Estate's Herrera Estelí Habano. W***y Herrera spent extensive time refining this blend. The finished cigar uses an Ecuador Habano wrapper, Honduran binder and Nicaraguan fillers. Drew Estate calls it medium-bodied, with nutmeg, baking spice and wood in the profile.

It's a good reminder that details matter more than a band or a reputation. Have you smoked the Habano? Which vitola do you reach for?

We started the month with news of a very limited new La Flor Dominicana release.

It is worth one more spotlight.

The Andalusian Bull 10th Anniversary Maduro celebrates ten years of the original with aged to***co from LFD's 2016 La Canela crop and a Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper.

Only 5,000 boxes were produced.

Scenic City Ci**rs received an allocation of 20 boxes originally, and we are now running low! Call the store to see if we have any left.

When LFD says the anniversary Bull is "sweeter," that does not mean flavored.

The Andalusian Bull 10th Anniversary Maduro is still a traditional premium cigar.

The difference comes from the to***co and the way the blend was constructed, including its Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper.

That distinction matters.

Sweetness in premium to***co can come naturally from the leaf, fermentation, aging and blending.
