The Rhône Valley: Geography, Wind, Heat & the Shape of Power
Thursday, May 28 | 6:30 PM
📍 Petit Philippe | La Cave Cellar Room

This month, we travel through the Rhône Valley to explore how place shapes power in wine.
From the steep granite slopes of the north to the sun-soaked stone vineyards of the south, we’ll taste how geography, climate, and terrain influence aroma, texture, structure, and energy in the glass.
Through six guided wines, we’ll compare:
— Rhône whites & texture
— Southern Grenache-led blends
— Northern Rhône Syrah & structure
Along the way, we’ll connect what we taste to the land itself: wind, heat, slope, soil, elevation, and appellation.
Led by Mark + Ella, with firsthand stories and insights from recent visits throughout the Rhône Valley, including Ampuis, Tain-l’Hermitage, and Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
