Spring Wine Classes
These classes offer a little bit of everything. We hope you can join us!
Tuesday, April 22: Bordeaux
This is arguably the ne plus ultra of wine regions – the best of the best. This class features wines from six appellations, including Graves, Pauillac and St. Emilion, for an overview of what makes Bordeaux wines so good.
Tuesday, May 20: Washington State
This is the (not so) little wine region that could. Washington is the country’s second largest wine producing state even though its creations often fly under the radar. Though known for Bordeaux and Rhone style, this state is home to so much more. Come try some new discoveries!
Tuesday, June 17: Mystery Wines
Come test your palate! The class begins with a discussion of three different red varietals, their primary characteristics, and how they change depending on where they are from and how they were made into wine. Then comes the fun part: six wines, tasted blind! Don’t worry if you get them all wrong. Learning is part of the fun!
Led by wine concierge and author Kathleen Bershad, these classes are lively and interactive, appealing to the novice and connoisseur alike.
The class takes place from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. at Chappaqua Wine & Spirits, 65 King Street. The fee is $50 per session. In addition, participants receive a discount towards the purchase of wines tasted in the class.
