Chime Pinot Noir, Oregon. This Pinot Noir has aromas of sweet vanilla and cinnamon surrounding the fresh cherry core. The w**e shows off its bright, juicy red fruits, focusing on the red cherry and raspberry notes. The fruit notes are beautifully layered with a slight hint of toasted spice and subtle oak. It finishes out round and silky.

It’s a traditional Oregon Pinot that you can enjoy with anything, including big seafood dishes (grilled or baked salmon, particularly), poultry, red meat, and lighter pasta dishes.

Tuesday, October 20: W**es of the Pacific Northwest

Oregon & Washington boast a terroir that mixes cool climate elegance with high desert intensity, giving these w**es their unique personality. This class explores one white and two red w**es from each state, for a delicious sampling of what these regions have to offer.

Tuesday, November 17: French Grapes with a Spanish Accent

Malbec and Carmenere are considered the national grapes of Argentina and Chile, respectively. But did you know they were once important varietals in France’s Bordeaux region? This class explores three w**es from each grape, looking not only at the styles and flavors these w**es offer but also how they changed nationalities!

These sessions are designed to appeal to the novice and connoisseur alike. Led by w**e concierge and author Kathleen Bershad, the classes are fun and interactive with lively discussions among participants and instructor.

Classes take place from 7:15 to 8:45 p.m. at Chappaqua W**e & Spirits, 65 King Street. The fee is $60 per class, with a $25 deposit required. In addition, light snacks are served along with the w**e, and participants receive a discount towards the purchase of w**es tasted in the class.

The 2023 Alasia Barbera (Piemonte DOC) is a vibrant, juicy, and medium-bodied Italian red w**e. It has youthful aromas of fresh raspberry, black cherry, and plum.

Ripe fruit-forward flavors of blackberries and tart red cherry, are perfectly balanced with soft tannins and a subtle savory spiciness.

It is widely favored for its food-friendly nature, offering bright, red and dark fruits, soft tannins, and a fresh, mouthwatering finish. It drinks best with a slight chill and served at 55-60 degrees. Serve it with a tomato based pasta, pizza, grilled meat or a hard cheese; such as Reggiano.

Two Angels Sauvignon Blanc, from Lake County, California, is one of our new favorites for the summer. This Sauvignon Blanc is fermented in stainless steel tanks to maintain the fresh fruit notes - primarily guava, melon, and citrus. The flavors are well layered and develop in the glass. The fruit is complemented nicely with a crispness that is refreshing. It is beautifully clean and dry, showing notes of minerality on the finish.
This Sauvignon is versatile and can pair with so many foods. Enjoy with grilled shrimp, fresh oysters, herbed halibut, Asian dishes, or a tangy cheese platter. Delicious!

For those of you in the area, come join us on Friday, July 17th, from 3pm – 6pm for an in-store tasting during the Summer Sale in downtown Chappaqua.

On hand will be the brand ambassador for Zyr Vodka and Backlash Gin to guide you through these spectacular spirits that have just joined our line-up.
