If you love wine with a story, meet Elisabetta Foradori. Based in Trentino, Italy, she's widely considered one of the most influential winemakers of her generation — the person who revived the native Teroldego grape and helped pioneer biodynamic farming across Italian vineyards long before it was trendy. Her philosophy is simple: minimal intervention, maximum respect for the land. Through projects like Ampeleia in Tuscany, she continues to craft wines that taste like the place they came from.
On September 19th, we're pouring one of her most celebrated whites in a guided vertical tasting — and we can't wait to share her story with you.

Ever heard the term 'vertical tasting' and wondered what it means?
A vertical tasting means pouring the same wine from different vintages, side by side, so you can taste how a single wine evolves over time — through weather, aging, and the winemaker's evolving hand. It's one of the best ways to really understand a wine (and a winemaker) on a deeper level.
On September 19th, we're hosting a vertical tasting of Bianco di Ampeleia, and trust us — it's an experience every curious wine lover should have at least once.

Save the date and follow along — class details drop this week.

Summer 2026 is almost behind us. Before September arrives — let's celebrate what was in our glasses.

What was the wine that defined your summer this year?

Was it:
🌹 A cold Rosé on a long hot afternoon
🥂 A sparkling moment you'll carry into fall
🍋 A crisp white that became your default pour
🍷 A red that surprised you with how well it worked in the heat
🧡 An orange wine that changed how you think about whites

Drop it in the comments — grape, producer, region, occasion, or just the feeling it gave you.

And if you never quite found your summer wine this year, we still have a few incredible August bottles that deserve a spot in your glass before September arrives.

Comment your summer wine below — and visit us this weekend before August ends!

In a world of wine dominated by established estates and inherited prestige, Elisabetta Foradori built her reputation on conviction, craft, and a commitment to the land.

Here's why she matters:

🌱 She saved a grape: In the 1980s, Teroldego — a native Trentino variety — was nearly forgotten. Foradori spent decades restoring it to greatness, and today it's one of Italy's most celebrated indigenous grapes.
🌾 She pioneered biodynamics in Italy: At a time when biodynamic farming was considered radical, Foradori committed her entire estate to it. Today, she's recognized as a trailblazer in sustainable Italian viticulture.
🏔 Two projects, two identities: Her Trentino estate is her spiritual home. Ampeleia in Tuscany is where she explores Mediterranean terroir with the same uncompromising philosophy.
✨ Minimal intervention: Her wines are made with as little winemaker interference as possible — because she believes the vineyard, not the cellar, should have the final word.

On September 19th, we'll taste her Bianco di Ampeleia across multiple vintages. A rare opportunity to experience her philosophy directly in the glass.

The word "vertical" in wine doesn't mean the bottle is standing up.

A vertical tasting is when you taste multiple vintages of the same wine from the same producer — side by side, in chronological order.

Here's why it's so powerful:

📅 Year by year: You see how climate, harvest conditions, and aging affect the same wine differently in each vintage.
🌦 Vintage variation: Two bottles from the same estate, five years apart, can taste dramatically different — and that contrast is the lesson.
🧠 You learn faster: Tasting the same wine across time is the most efficient way to understand what makes a producer's style consistent — and what changes.
🔍 Depth of appreciation: What might seem like a subtle difference in description becomes vivid and undeniable when experienced side by side in the glass.

Our upcoming Foradori Bianco di Ampeleia Vertical Tasting on September 19th is a rare opportunity to experience this firsthand — led by Esteban Brunello.

This is wine education at its most profound.

A cellar sale sounds simple. Clear out old stock. Move on.

At EB Wines, it's anything but that.

Every bottle in our current cellar sale was brought in intentionally, stored under proper conditions, and held until the right moment. We don't offer aged wine because we need shelf space. We offer it because it's ready — and because you deserve to experience it at its best.

Esteban personally reviews what goes on sale and at what price. Nothing leaves the cellar that hasn't earned its moment.

This is the EB Wines difference: even a sale is curated.

If you haven't explored our current cellar selection yet, this week is the time. Rare bottles, exceptional prices, and the story behind every label.

Stop by this week or DM us for the full cellar sale list. Link in bio for hours.
