Cloudy days call for cheerful wine, and this week’s Pour of the Week understood the assignment. ☔️🍷
We opened the Point of Contact Skin Contact Pinot Gris from Approach Wine Company because sometimes you just need a bottle that feels like a little burst of sunshine when the weather outside isn’t quite cooperating.
This Oregon Pinot Gris gets a short period of skin contact during fermentation, giving it that gorgeous coppery-salmon hue along with extra texture and personality compared to a typical crisp white. The result is bright and refreshing, but with a little more depth and intrigue in the glass.
Expect notes of strawberry, blood orange, peach skin, grapefruit peel, and a subtle savory edge that keeps you coming back for another sip. It drinks somewhere between a rosé and a light orange wine — juicy, vibrant, textured, and incredibly food friendly.
Basically: a happy wine for a dreary week. Come grab a glass at Stems while it lasts!
