When her son graduated high school, Suzanne was inspired to vest her energy into a project that would utilize her background in retail and nurture her community at large. Named after her favorite color, The Purple Avocado opened its doors in 2001. It's our energetic, magical spirit combined with our vast inventory that's made us the number-one gift shop in Carson City -- and Nevada Magazine's Best Rural Gift Shop. Sue, Stanley, and Bella (our adorable shop dog) will be eager to greet you any day. You'll always have a fun time shopping at The Purple Avocado!
