The gentleman that came in a little while back and wanted change, then scammed our employee, came back tonight to attempt again. Our employees told him no and asked him to leave. Wanted all other local businesses to be aware!

Please share! We just want to inform other local businesses, in case they cash paychecks and our customers, in case they work for him, that Gary Farmer Sr. who owns Cottage Inn Pizza in Vassar, MI(shown below), bounces employees paychecks and refuses to come take care of them after promising to do so.
‼️Be wary of checks from Gourmet Vassar, LLC‼️
We dont want anyone else having to deal with and encounter something like this so just be cautious!

‼️For everyone asking, below is the video of the scam that went on at our location last night. Money exchange scams at stores often involve "quick change" tactics, where scammers confuse cashiers with complex, rapid currency swaps to steal cash.

We want other local businesses to be aware and watch for these gentleman. Sounds like they have been bopping around. This video is only to show what could potentially happen. ‼️

Edit: We understand that to some this appears to be easily avoided but under pressure and in the moment things happen. Going forward we have changed what we will be doing/allowing. This post was simply to show some people in the community what can happen, not to post your opinion on.. It is a common scam that happens all over the place.
