Yes, the Illinois tax on va**ng products and other ni****ne products is increasing on July 1st. The tax will jump from 15% to 45% of the wholesale price. This includes products like ni****ne pouches, ci**rs, and chewing to***co. The state expects this tax increase to generate an additional $50 million in revenue, reports WTVO.
The tax increase is part of a broader budget measure that includes other tax changes, such as increases in the Motor Fuel Tax and new taxes on sports betting. The goal of these tax increases is to generate revenue for the state, according to the Chicago Tribune. However, some worry that the tax hike on va**ng products could negatively impact retailers and potentially discourage people from using va**ng as a way to quit smoking. Illinois is also raising cigarette taxes, with an increase of $1 per pack. These increases are part of broader efforts to discourage to***co use and generate revenue.

30% wholesale tax increase on va**ng, holy cow!!! There is literally nothing we can do to combat this. Its been set in motion and is law. Prices on va**ng products and components will go up in all stores July 1st. Other non va**ng related products, it will stay the same. We have decided instead of raising the shelf prices we are going to include it in the v***r tax. So imagine a v**e item priced at $12.99 right now is $14.13 with tax. With the new tax it will be $16.72. In order for a business to stay open with these new taxes its either raise the shelf price 20% an item or implement a 20% v***r tax. If we raised the shelf price of that $12.99 item to $15.58, 20% of the 45% we have to pay, if we just did regular tax we have now it would be $17.47. So you can see it would be more beneficial for the customer to just pay the v***r tax we would implement. It will make it a little cheaper for you at least and you will still see the same shelf price.

Right now, it is not exactly clear how the tax will be passed onto the consumer. But va**ng products and popular Zyn pouches will now be subject to a 45% tax — up from 15%.

✔️ Restocked those V***resso Eco Nanos if you're ready to get off disposables and leave the metal flakes behind...they are disappearing from the market for a reason.

1-They can't legally be sold in the US as they don't have a premarket to***co application with the Food and drug administration which would require manufacturers to submit what is in them. The Center for disease control and FDA are diligently working to remove them from shop shelves.
2-Disposables have so much menthol and sugar added that you can't taste the burnt coil. This leads to metal flakes being inhaled.
3-The FDA has expressed concerns about the safety and regulation of disposable e-cigarettes, especially concerning contaminants. A study from UC Davis found that some disposable v**es emit toxic metals, including lead and nickel, potentially exceeding safety thresholds for neurological and respiratory damage, and exceeding cancer risk limits for nickel and antimony.

🤔Were looking into a sublimation printer and doing custom prints from our store for tshirts, tumblers, vinyls, lanyards, coasters, pillow cases, makeup bags, hats, custom gifts, light boxes, ect. We need a custom print shop in our area that's affordable. We already do custom permanent and iron on vinyls, but this will open us up to more pattern and options. We have just been buying already done cups, bags,ect and I think it's time we start making our own designs. I do have a large order of family reunion tshirts I'll be working on and a derby car to finish and some windshield decals, but I'll have some availability to do other projects as well, just let me know what you're thinking and I can try to make it happen. 😎

Our vinyl orders are picking up. Jakob is an awesome employee, but he don't handle the vinyls. You need Chantel to take care of that.
I did give him a little cheat sheet to help you with an idea of pricing.

For a 12"x12" (sq foot) of plain single color vinyl I charge $9.99 plus tax. If it's smaller I charge less, some designs can be found in store.

For a 12"x12" (sq foot) of custom Vinyl i charge $12.99 plus tax. I have a variety of patterns to choose from.

If you want certain characters, there is sometimes a $1.99 fee for that cut. I would let you know before I even cut it to finalize price.

While I have a lot of vinyl in stock, I may need to order something specific which can take 2-4 days to come in. I also may have orders ahead of your design so same day isn't guaranteed.

I do not charge more for shapes/design rather than lettering, unless it has multiple colors. I charge by the vinyl and transfer sheet I use. I can print up to 12"x24" for a single design or letter if you need large print for something.

I put them on for free. If I mess it up during application then I take care of cost for it and redo it. If you do it and mess it up, cost is on you to replace. When being placed on vehicles paint (body) I won't be responsible for paint coming off. You're taking that risk allowing it to be applied on the paint, there is a waiver to sign for that. I will not put them on under 55 degrees outside or over 85 degrees outside. I don't want to mess the vinyl up with the heat, and vinyl also won't stick if it's too cold out.

I can do vehicle magnets with vinyl also. Cost will vary and be for vinyls and magnet pricing.

Before I cut your vinyls, you get to approve the design, text, color, size, and pricing. I give you a few options to start and you get to decide what you want done.
