-We couldn’t make it to Kentucky before these needed to be picked so the samples were shipped to us.
-Both picks are newer distillery products offerings in Oregon.
-One distillery recently purchased the other.

Thank you Karthic Sushir for traveling all the way from Phenomenal Spirits in Texas to take us to the Caribbean and Central America. We loved every moment of rum history. Your story of seeking out the best rum barrels from the islands, Nicaragua, Columbia and more made us envy of your travels. Today I got to tour the brand new Oregon Liquor Commission warehouse right here in Canby! 347,000 sq feet!
Currently, OLCC has been running inefficiently between two warehouses. With limited warehouse space, many of our items are not able to be regularly stocked and easy to get to our stores. This new warehouse will allow for a tremendous growth in our selection, pricing and availability.
FACTS TO SHARE:
*Oregon liquor sales are the states third largest tax revenue.
*Many of the distilled spirits in our stores have not changed price in the past 6 years!
*All distilled spirits in the Oregon Liquor Commission inventory are held on a consignment and bailment basis. Money is not passed to the supplier or distillery until a store has ordered the product out of the warehouse.

This is one government agency that has done well for Oregon and will continue to do well.
As they truly are “keeping Oregon in good spirits!”

Who wants to come to my BIRTHDAY PARTY!!
I left the store on a mission last night.
For 3 years I’ve been saying I want Flo Rida to play at my 50th Party! My goal was to connect with him at his concert and lock it in.
Although I didn’t achieve a definite commitment, I did get his managers number.
Oh…. And I got to sing “Low,” you know… Boots with the Fur… on his diamond microphone.
I still have a few years to plan… but it’s going to be the best party ever!!

If you’re not familiar with the specialty of this spirit, the history is quite unique! A liqueur made with 130 plants, this number being the only known element of a recipe that retains all its mystery, Chartreuse has carried its fame very far : that of the Chartreuse Order which developed and perfected the recipe in its different versions but , also, that of a mountain range from which the emblematic and refined drink has borrowed its name. The Chartreuse liqueur has long been able to open up to the world, almost fitting into the register of popular “culture” in many places around the world. But, as originally and outside the period when the expelled Carthusians (Chartreuse monks) were outside France, it is in the Chartreuse mountain range that its production takes place. Very close to the Monastery of the Grande Chartreuse where the only two people who know “the” secret formula reside.
