Today was an exciting day! The former Thompson's General Store, now known as ✨Opal's on Main✨ had its first business meeting with students from Gies College of Business. So many of you have expressed excitement about the store opening again and we want to keep you in the loop! Some of the things that were discussed in today's meeting👉 assess what renovations the store needs and look into grants for historical buildings. Did you know that Opal's on Main is one of the original storefronts in Camargo?! Yep. We have some old photos tucked up our sleeve and we can't wait to share them with you.

Shall I let you in on a little secret? It may not happen as soon as we’d all like, but plans are underway to bring Opal’s back in a manner that will last for many more years.

There's an awesome event happening next weekend too . . . Kids Rock 5K and Camargo's first ever Glow Cart Parade. Check it out and spread the word to all who have a golf cart or UTV. It's gonna be a fun weekend!

We will be closing our doors after almost 70 years of service. Please join us this Saturday to say goodbye. We will be offering free hotdogs, cake, and punch. Thank you for your support over the years.
