LBR made the trip down to Windy Hollow Speedway this weekend for The Cast is Fast Nationals with the American SprintCar Tour. On Friday Landon went 2nd quick overall in qualifying and then ran 2nd in the heat and started 6th in the feature and went backwards to finish 16th(crew chief missed the setup by a mile). I (Shane) just wanted to get back in a dirt car after being out of one for probably a year and a half and went 3rd quick overall and finished 3rd in the heat race and decided to start and park for the feature. Saturday Landon went fast time overall and won his heat race started on the pole and didn’t get a great start and fell back to 3rd where he stayed until a late race restart sent cars scrambling and came away with a 4th place finish. As of this moment that should end our season , we would really like to make the trip to Florida for the Don Rehm classic but with fuel prices we may have to put that idea to the side.

Landon will have variety this weekend. Tonight he will be on the dirt at Kokomo Speedway in the Sprint Car and tomorrow night he will be in an AllStar midget at Anderson speedway for 100 laps of action. Thanks Aaron Pierce and David Ward for making the midget deal happen tomorrow night.

Smackdown night one is in the books, 50 cars signed in and Landon went 39th quick in qualifying which for the 1st night with the stout competition we were ok with how it went. Started 8th in the heat race finished 8th I think. During the heat the engine was loosing oil pressure so we opted to call it a night and come back to the shop and put our pavement motor in the car and we are ready to go for night #2.

Night 1 at Kokomo Speedway!

Landon Butler is making his USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car debut tonight at Kokomo Speedway.

Butler is latest in the famed lineage of racers from Florida, following in the footsteps of grandfather Stan Butler, uncle Keith Butler, and father Shane Butler.

Landon finished 18th here at Kokomo back in April of this year.

LBR had a great Father’s Day weekend at the racetrack the American Sprint Car Tour. We started out Friday night at Hartford Speedway in Michigan 17 cars signed in and Landon went 4th quick overall started 2nd in the heat and finished 2nd. Drew the 1 spot to start the feature and lead from Green to Checkered for the win.
Saturday night we moved on to ShadyHill speedway in Medairyville Indiana and once again went 4th quick overall. Started 2nd in the heat and finished 2nd. He drew the 4th starting spot for the feature and quickly moved to 2nd and on the 3rd lap inherited the lead when the leader broke and lead every lap from there on to the finish. Then Sunday was canceled early due to weather, We will take this weekend off to try and get the 410 back together and hopefully make it to Kokomo Speedway for July 3rd.
