Merry Christmas and Happy Healthy New Year!
This post is long overdue. I wanted to extend my sincerest gratitude for allowing me and my family to serve the community for over 34 years. Fulfilling my grandfather's dream of owning a liquor store. My parents building the liquor store after his passing. Then shortly after adding Pat's Deli. What an accomplishment for a young couple who had 3 young children at the time.
I was privileged to work beside my father and stepmother who always challenged me. Who had endless visions on value added additions to the stores. Encouraged me to learn and grow.
To my mother, sister and brother who listened, respected and loved me unconditionally.
Special thanks to my manager Scott Kampe who showed up hell or highwater with the personality everyone loved!
To the countless employees you were a valuable addition we appreciate all your hard work and dedication over the years.
To our customers who without realizing it became our extended family. I will miss you dearly. Thank you for all the laughter and even tears.
Long story short it was not an easy decision to sell the stores. In February Sam and Viresh (HM Liquors) purchased Oliver's and in August Dave and Shea purchased the deli. (They are keeping the name and all the recipes the same!!! They have even added some new delicious items to the menu.) I could not have chosen a more suited family for Burlington. Yes! they are all related with a huge family eager to support them on this journey. They are caring, visionaries, hardworking and most of all they understand and are sensitive to my commitments to the community and Burlington. They truly are an extension of my family. They are exceeding my expectations!!!
Wishing HM Liquors and Pat's Deli all the success and memories of a lifetime for their newly extended family and friends.
