For the next 30 days, we will have different items on sale. Starting with the lawn & gardening items being 30% off.

Now as you all already know, we placed the business for sale hoping someone would take it over. Yes, we have had as my dad Neal says "some tire kickers" with no one responding back with even an offer.

So, we have decided it's time to close at the end of our 30-day celebration. That is if no one comes along during these 30 days with an offer that is reasonable. This is not a decision we made easily. We know what this means for our community residents and campers alike. Our decision on closing is not lack of support from our community. It is a mixture of reasons, which some are personal.

As our inventory decreases, we will not be ordering in any more items. This includes inventory to make sandwiches and pizza.

Neal, Pat, & myself (Rena) cannot express how much we greatly appreciate the 30 years of support from all of our valued customers.

Although this is the end of our store, we are coming up with future plans for the building.

After decades of working toward repealing the ban on Sunday hunting, today, we celebrate.

The board has heard recommendations from agency staff. They’ve heard from passionate sportsmen and women of Pennsylvania and today, they voted ‘yes’ for additional Sunday hunting opportunities starting this year!

Starting this September, hunters will now have Sunday hunting available to them through December 7. These Sundays will fall within the already established hunting seasons, with the lone exception being migratory game bird seasons. [If Sundays were added to migratory game bird seasons for 2025-26, it would result in an overall loss in hunting days.]

Dates included will be September 14, 21, and 28; October 5, 12, 19, and 26; November 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30; and December 7.

These are more than just extra days in the field. They are a reflection of the Game Commission’s commitment to remove barriers, make hunting more accessible, and ensure Pennsylvania’s hunting heritage continues to be passed on!

Tickets are out and selling! Available from any member also Thursday evenings at the firehall! Tickets are located at several different businesses as well Rosie’s Take Break, DSD Sports, JJs Garage, Dixon Country Store, 814 Home & Hardware, M&M Motorsports. Tickets available for online purchase as well use link below.

Helping us this year with the raffle will be Stray Cat Central, their members will also have tickets available if you know them get ahold of them for tickets! They are a great non-profit group in the area and will also be benefiting from this raffle! Check out their page!
