After 14 years at Bernier’s, today is my last day 😭 Thank you for watching the videos and letting me be my crazy self, it’s going to be so sad not working with my family, seeing you guys and bothering Andrew but you can find me at The Shovel Shop in Easton where hopefully I’ll be making more videos and buying all the delicious craft beer 🍺

As I start a new chapter in my life called Retirement I reflect on hundreds of fond memories at Bernier’s Liquors. It was a bittersweet decision to sell the business that has been part of the Bernier family for over 70 years. It has been quite a ride which was both challenging and rewarding and words alone cannot express my appreciation to my friends and the family members who supported me.

The heart of every business is the employees and customers and we had the best. They helped make Bernier’s Liquors one of the top liquor stores on the South Coast. Without them we would not have been as successful as we were. I cannot thank you enough and will miss seeing and chatting with all of you.

Special thanks to my daughters Jessica and MaryBeth for bringing us to the 21st century with their social media expertise, building our craft business and stepping in to assume management responsibilities, Andrew and Mike for managing and growing our beer and wine departments. And thank you Patty for over 20 years of dedication and keeping the ship sailing! You are all very important to me and I sincerely appreciate what you have done.

And of course I wouldn’t be writing this if it wasn’t for my parents Arthur and Arlene (Ma) Bernier who started the business in 1951. Without them there would never have been a Bernier’s Liquors. I miss you both very much. And if any of you would like to share any of your positive memories of the old and/or new store I’d love to hear them.
