Since it's one of my favorite holidays, my thoughts are already turning to "what wine are we going to have?" For the next few weeks, I'll be opening wines that I think will be fantastic additions to your Thanksgiving table.

Did you know that Cabernet Sauvignon came from a cross of Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Franc? I figured that today it would be fun to meet the "family" with a tasting of all three grapes. (Don't worry, I don't really see the resemblance either, but tasting wine sure is fun!)

Several people have messaged us to ask about our AWOL Instagram account. Last week we somehow got flagged for a TOS violation (which we've learned has apparently been a bit of an epidemic ) My pet theory is that we've simply posted too many irresistible "Thirst Traps" over the past few months. We've tried any means at our disposal to sort this out, but a week later, we're still "under review" (If any of you have an "in" with Meta, we're all ears)

Obviously, as a new business, we really rely on social media to get the word out about the best little wine shop in BG. While we're still getting the Instagram issues sorted, we'd love it if you could help us promote this page. Also, if you haven't voted in the Best of BG, please throw a vote (or a few) our way!

It’s Thursday! Swing by after work to taste two reds and a white: a Sicilian Cabernet Sauvignon, a lovely Barbera from the Piedmont region of Italy, and a sweet German Riesling. While you’re sipping, ask Bill what’s new in the shop—there’s a lot!

Might we also suggest sticking around for the Family Tree documentary at the , part of the Southern Circuit Film Series, and/or the muscle machines of the that will be on the square from 7:30 on? It’s a good week to be in !
