The Wine Bottega We are lovers of old world wine, small vineyards, and all things delicious. Our doors are open! The Wine Bottega stands in defense of real wine.

Whether organic, biodynamic, natural, or otherwise, real wine is borne of the land. We are inspired by the farmers who break their backs for the benefit of their vines and use a gentle hand to guide the ancient act of fermentation. As a result, each bottle holds more than just fermented grape juice, it holds the story of the land and the people who created it. We look forward to sharing those stories with you.

Right in the heart of Viana do Castelo we discovered Garrafeira Viana - W**e Garden, bar & Store ! An amazing w**e shop run by super friendly Hugo. Two bottles of incredible w**e, a meat and cheese plate, great service and the best vibes yet. Highly recommend and can’t wait to visit this little oasis again!!

No, it’s not a distant planet… it’s a hint to this week’s w**e tasting! What you’re looking at are the extreme vineyards on the island of Lanzarote, Canary Islands. We’ll be sampling the classic red - Listan Negro - and the increasingly rare rosé expression of the same grape. Plus, we’re going all-out with two Bandol w**es, a white and rosé, from what is perhaps the best-value producer in the famous Provence village.
