We are lovers of old world wine, small vineyards, and all things delicious. Our doors are open! The Wine Bottega stands in defense of real wine.

Whether organic, biodynamic, natural, or otherwise, real wine is borne of the land. We are inspired by the farmers who break their backs for the benefit of their vines and use a gentle hand to guide the ancient act of fermentation. As a result, each bottle holds more than just fermented grape juice, it holds the story of the land and the people who created it. We look forward to sharing those stories with you.

For this Friday’s tasting, we will be exploring something totally new to our palates: Ukrainian wine! We will be welcoming a representative from the Shabo Winery in southern Ukraine, who will pour four brand-new selections from their vineyards. Shabo was founded by Vaja Lukuridze almost 20 years ago, but viticulture and winemaking in this region has been active since Swiss immigrants founded a winemaking settlement in Shabo in 1822.

Ukraine uses the CDO appelation system — and, for now, Shabo is the only winery in Ukraine that has the right to use this classification. Shabo wines have earned many honors in the last few years, and we are extremely excited to show you all something you may not have had ever before.

As always, tastings are always free, and always 5-8 PM! 🇺🇦🍷
