Earth Day is 4/22! When you see the Demeter symbol near a wine, you know the wine was made with organic fruit without massive machines used in commercial production. These wines are made with utmost respect for the environment and use the lunar/solar movements to plan pruning and harvesting. Biodynamic growers view winemaking with a holistic approach to vineyard practices acknowleding the interconnectedness of all the living organisms affecting soil and fruit. 🌎🍇🌍🍷🌏

Many folks grow using biodynamic principles without getting certification. It is quite a rigorous process to get certified so you know if you see this symbol that the owners felt it important to let you see their commitment on the label. ♻🐝🔆

Peach liqueur made with peach brandy and fresh peach juice. It's really good added into wheat beer or sparkling wine and mixes marvelously with bourbon, rye, and rum. Or just drink it on its own out of vintage cordial glasses.

But, of course, everything's good in a margarita.

ULTIMATE PEACH MARGARITA
Prepare a double rocks glass half-rimmed with salt and filled with ice.
Shake with ice:
1.75 oz blanco tequila
1.25 oz Rothman & Winter Orchard Peach Liqueur
0.75 oz lime juice
Double-strain into the prepared glass.

Garnish with a peach slices sprinkled with chili salt.

Tarquin's Cornish Dry Gin is made by a fully-independent, family-run business called Southwestern Distillery using age-old traditional distilling techniques like heating a copper pot still with a direct naked flame and sealing the top of the stills with bread dough.

From the UK's Cornwall area, this contemporary take on a classic London dry gin is distilled with 12 botanicals: almond, angelica, cardamom, cinnamon, coriander, grapefruit juniper, lemon, licorice, orange, orris root, and violet.

Pairs perfectly with Three Cents Aegean Tonic. Try it with red grapefruit and a sprig of thyme. Also great with Lillet Rosé martinis.

These are not in ABC stores. Shop local and stop buying on line. Did you know it is illegal to have liquor shipped into Bama? ABC regulations do not allow retailers to even ship a box to customers inside Alabama or allow folks to send liquor through Fedex/UPS/USPS into Alabama. I know it's hard. Doing my best to compete with the difficult pricing structure here. Working hard to stock what you need.

Unicorn Bubbly Rosé $10 Red $8. Cheap & cheerful frivolous fun cuz some of y'all being way too serious.

Cab, merlot, syrah blends. Dry pink and sweet red were limited runs of 14 Hands. I brought these in for National Unicorn Day and have one case each left.

I added some black currant syrup, lemonade, and mineral water to the red for a fruity punch wine cooler kinda fun.

Congrats to Bham fave Adiõs Bar. 2026 Spirited Awards Regional Top 10 Honoree for Best U.S. Cocktail Bar. Try this cocktail from José Medina Camacho that was featured in Market Watch magazine in March. Check out drinks at Salud Taqueria on 20th St as well as Adiõs on 2nd Ave.

AL PASTOR MARGARITA
3/4 oz mezcal
3/4 oz reposado tequila
1/2 oz Ancho Reyes chile liqueur
3/4 oz pineapple and achiote syrup*
3/4 oz lime juice

In an ice-filled cocktail shaker, combine all and shake. Strain into ice-filled rocks glass rimmed with chamoy and Tajín.

*In a blender, blend together 600 grams Dole pineapple juice, 600 grams organic agave nectar, and 5 grams of achiote powder. Achiote is spanish for annatto.
