A proper milestone celebration for a true neighborhood legend!

Huge thank you to everyone who packed the house, kept the secret and celebrated Richard Smith’s 80th birthday with us. From the traditional cake and candles, surprise calls and visits from family, music from the Snus Hill Session Players, to a fulfilled wish of a Three Stooges–style pie to the face, it was truly one for the books. 🥧✨

We couldn’t have pulled this off without the love and support of our incredible friends and neighbors.

Happy 80th, Richard!

It was a beautiful day in this neighborhood. ❤

This picture pretty much sums up the most amazing Rock at Rock Hill Park event this last Saturday. The turn-out and vibe was truly wonderful - and over 250+ neighbors attended. Thanks to everyone for all their hard work.

We must give a HUGE thanks to Whatcom Community Foundation and their Neighborly Grant, which in large part made this event possible. This helped pay for the bands, the bathroom facilities, and a lot of various other picnic items (hot dog, anyone?)

And to A1DesignBuild - which facilitated the grant. A true act of generosity.

Onward - and keep your eyes open for the Horse Carriage + Caroling event this December. Much merriment shall be had by all.

We can't wait to rock out with our neighbors at the new Rock Hill Park playground! Bring a dish to share and come celebrate the end of summer with us! 🥳 🎶

YES! The York Neighborhood Annual Potluck and Picnic is coming, Saturday September 19th. And this year, we'll be celebrating the GRAND OPENING of the new playground at Rock Hill Park with lots of bands, fun for the kids, and general merriment all around.

So join us! It promises to be a good time, indeed.
