Hello Beaumont! This is the owner of Seven Days Market here! Due to a recent post on this page, I felt the need to reach out to my community and let everyone know where my business, staff, and I stand on these accusations. I would like to start off by saying that I care and love this town deeply. Beaumont is not just the town that I own a business in, but the town where I grew up in, live in, and have had the amazing opportunity to watch Beaumont go from a small town to the flourishing city it is now. With that being said, I would never allow my store to participate in any form of price gouging. This goes against my personal morals as a business owner and person in general. During this tough time prices on goods have increased, specifically milk. We usually have milk delivered to us from Alta Dena but because of the recent climate we have needed to make changes in our product. The milk we carry in our store currently is a brand called Swiss, which now costs us $8.70 for two gallons at Restaurant Depot. Our supplier has been limited on supply so we have to go else where to be able to meet the needs of our customers. Therefore I have had to start selling each gallon for $5.99 versus our usual $3.99. I, nor my staff sold milk for anything more than that to any of our customers. I am only making roughly a dollar profit per gallon, if I were to practice price gauging I would spike the price up to $8.99. But we take pride in the customer service and prices we offer to the community. We are committed to providing the best quality service and products for our customers. This customer has received assistance from us before and we did not charge her or her family anything. That is what Seven Days Market is about. Helping anyone and everyone. We are not just a business that is open to collect money. Anyone can ask around about our business and family that has been here for over 35 years serving Beaumont. We are grateful to have a community that has allowed us to have such a thriving business here. Finally, I would like to thank each person that came to our defense and for all the kind words. Thank you to all the people for the criticism as well. We look at this as a way to receive feedback from our customers. We look forward to continuing to serve our community.
