We are a locally owned and operated Craft Distillery. Come in for a Tasting Tour, where you can try our Award Winning spirits and learn how they are made. We are a Grain to Glass distillery, meaning we do everything onsite. Our grains are locally sourced, and our spent mash goes to a local, woman owned, regenerative farm as feed. Last Autumn, we sent our Barrel Strength Coosa Cut bourbon to the American Craft Spirits competition. They announced the award recipients this weekend and we were awarded Silver. We love when industry experts acknowledge what our fans all know, we made good spirits.

Brian and I have made the difficult decision to close Rotten Little Bastard Distillery. We would like to thank everyone who has worked with us, helped us, supported us and visited us in the past 5 ½ years. We will miss you. You can continue to purchase Rotten Little Bastard spirits at your South Carolina liquor stores and through our online distributors, Cellar.com and Tipxy.com as supplies last.
We opened in June of 2020, as the Covid-19 pandemic was closing businesses down and stopped most tourism to our area. This was an unexpected rough start, and we learned many uncomfortable lessons. In 2023, we felt like we were finally heading in the right direction, but it unfortunately did not last. And in January of 2025 Brian had a stroke, and while not debilitating, it has changed some of his abilities. We realized then that our current level of stress was not sustainable. We contacted a broker and started looking for investors or someone to buy the business. The current economy and changes in how people drink alcohol were not in our favor and we could not find a buyer. So, with that, we decided to close.
Brian and I are not going anywhere, as Beaufort is our home. We are just moving on to the next experience. Thank you, again, and see you around.

Juniper doesn’t drink bourbon.
She just supervises it.

After extensive quality control (sniffing, staring, and judging), Coosa Cut Bourbon has earned her approval. Rich, smooth, and crafted right here in the South Carolina Lowcountry—perfect for slow sips, good company, and quiet nights at the distillery.

Cookies optional. Bourbon required.

Juniper approved. 🐾🥃

“You Want Cozy? I AM Cozy.” — Juniper, Resident Booze Muse
🖤🐾🧊

Don’t let the pine-scented candles and fuzzy throw blankets fool you — this ain’t your grandma’s nightcap. This is a Vanilla Cinnamon Old Fashioned, served up with just the right amount of bite.

Warm bourbon. Real vanilla. A cinnamon stick that stirs drama. And me? I’m just here to judge your garnish game and maybe bat an orange peel off the counter.

Make one. Sip slow. Look smug. You deserve it, darling.

📌 Full recipe below, but don’t you dare water it down.

Place the orange wedge in an old-fashioned glass.
Gently squeeze it to release the juice, leaving the wedge in the glass.
• Add the simple syrup, vanilla extract and Angostura bitters to the glass. Stir well to blend the flavors.
• Add a few ice cubes to the glass, followed by an orange peel and the cinnamon stick.
• Pour the bourbon over the ice and stir gently to combine the ingredients.
