Cherry Cola A1 Steakhouse Butter
🛒 Ingredients:
For the cherry cola reduction:
• 1 cup cherry cola
• 1/3 cup cherry preserves or cherry jam
• 2 tablespoons A1 steak sauce
• 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
• 1 tablespoon brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
• 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
• 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
• Pinch of cayenne pepper, optional
For the steakhouse butter:
• 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
• 1 tablespoon A1 steak sauce
• 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
• 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
• 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
• 1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
• 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley, optional
• 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, optional
👩🍳 Directions:
1️⃣ Make the cherry cola reduction: In a small saucepan, add cherry cola, cherry preserves, A1 steak sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, black pepper, and cayenne if using. Simmer until thick. Cook over medium heat for 10–15 minutes, stirring often, until the mixture becomes glossy, dark red, and syrupy. It should reduce to about 1/3 cup.
2️⃣ Cool the reduction: Remove from heat and let it cool completely. Do not mix it into the butter while hot, or the butter will melt.
3️⃣ Make the butter base: In a bowl, add softened butter, A1 steak sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, salt, parsley, and red pepper flakes.
4️⃣ Add the cherry cola flavor: Spoon in 2–3 tablespoons of the cooled cherry cola reduction. Mix until the butter turns deep reddish-brown and marbled.
5️⃣ Shape or jar it: Spoon the butter into a glass jar, ramekin, or roll it into a log using parchment paper.
6️⃣ Chill: Refrigerate for at least 1 hour until firm.
7️⃣ Serve: This batch yields about 16 servings (1 tablespoon each). Add a spoonful over a hot ribeye, smash burger, grilled chicken, baked potato, brisket, or roasted vegetables.
