What an amazing Cars and Coffee we have planned for tomorrow from Noon-2:00 at Azalea Mountain Store. The Fire Department will be serving up there famous smash burgers and more. Trophies for best in show and peoples choice. We will be giving Napa trucker hats for to the first three who are 21 and under that bring a car for the show. An open house next door, Douglas county Emergency Management will have a booth , and of course all the best friends and neighbors in the world. No wonder we say life is good at Azalea Mountain Store.

Azalea Mountain Store is very excited to have a special guest tomorrow during our Cars and Coffee gathering from 11:30-2:00. Douglas County Emergency Management, will have a booth next to our amazing Azalea Rural Fire Department BBQ. This is a chance to learn how to keep you and your family safe during an emergency. Wow, cool cars, great BBQ, and a chance to learn about safety. No wonder we say life is good at Azalea Mountain Store.

My wife Patti wears many hats, owner, manager , accountant, planner, ect. The titles are way too many to list when running four different businesses. Somehow she still manages to bring in some really cool specialty items for Azalea Mountain Store. From cups, shirts, keychains, post cards, and everything in between. Over these last seven years it has been an amazing assortment of treasures. Nothing feels better than having someone ask about Azalea after seeing one of these items and getting to tell them about the best valley on earth. We love to brag about the place where we say “life is good.”

Along this journey we have had the joy of our man Phil be part of the Azalea Mountain Store family. Phil created “Phil’s Pickle Dip” right here at AMS. Phil and his brother Christian have turned that product into an amazing sensation. Now commercially produced and sold all over the South East (and exclusively at AMS) this product brings a smile to all who taste it. My favorite is on a chicken sandwich, it simply doesn’t get better. Thank you Phil for being part of our history and future , you’re a great friend and man. Azalea Mountain can’t wait to see Phil’s Pickle Dip on every store shelf in America.

Shortly after we opened the store in 2019 COVID 19 showed up. Our friends and neighbors helped one another and the store was able to become part of the fabric of our community. Hands down the best part was my niece Jasmine becoming part of the store. So many laughs and smiles, just one more wonderful chapter from the last seven years at Azalea Mountain.

Hard to believe but this week marks our 7th year as Azalea Mountain Store. All week we will be posting events and people who have helped reshape our area over the last few years. We will end the celebration this Sunday with a very special “Cars and Coffee” including prizes and more. So from our family to yours, Happy Birthday Azalea Mountain Store.
