CBD is amazing...
The picture on the left is Rylee about a month before we moved to Colorado, when she was high out of her mind on benzodiazepines that are man made and are supposed to STOP her seizures but were actually making them worsen. This is when she was actively failing #8 and #9 of the pharmaceuticals she was on. Let that sink in.. she has failed 9 pharmaceuticals.. This was before she started her cannabis journey. This picture on the left brings me, as her mommy, back to a very DARK point in our lives. She was seizing all day long every single day at this point, her breathing would slow down multiple times throughout any given day, and the amount of pharmaceuticals she was on at this point was extremely toxic and dangerous for her little body. The night I took this picture we had actually been in the ER all day because Diastat (rescue meds) wasn’t stopping her seizures but LeBonheur discharged her anyways and told us there was nothing left we could do for her. That this (uncontrollable seizures) was just part of her condition.. What they had meant was that I should just go home and allow my daughter to pass away.. uhm HELL NO 🤬
The picture on the right is of Rylee on her one year seizure free day! She is doing amazing! We were able to get rid of those yucky benzos, she is happy, alert, meeting milestones and goals in therapy, she is eating solids, she loves to stand, she is using her left hand more and more, her left hand is more relaxed than it’s ever been, her nystagmus has drastically decreased in both eyes, her pituitary gland is working properly (no supplements), she had her FIRST CLEAN EEG, she is reaching for things that she wants and pushes things away that she doesn’t want, she can stand unassisted for 3 seconds at a time, she is making lots of new sounds, and most importantly she has shown ZERO signs of ANY seizure activity in just over a year now. Her therapists and doctors are all so impressed at not only her seizure freedom but also at the connections she is making. She understands more now than ever before and is starting to respond more appropriately. Some of these things may seem so small but they are actually HUGE MILESTONES for our family. We couldn’t have ever imagined that Rylee would where she is today, especially being where we were just over a year ago. THANKFUL is the only word I can think of to describe the difference in the left and right pictures.
If you don’t believe that cannabis is medicinal, please PLEASE take a look at my daughter. Look at how things were and how they are now. There’s no denying.. 💚
