Simple yet delicious. A BLT is a tasty option for lunch, but now it also makes a delicious ready to drink cocktail. The BLT cocktail is Bourbon, Lemon, and Tonic, using Bulleit Frontier Whiskey US bourbon. Made by the owner of Bulleit Bourbon’s wife, Besty, this cocktail is her “little treat” (Betsy’s Little Treat…..get it?). Bourbon RTDs can step aside because this little 4-pack is a must try. It’s the best way to enjoy the simple things. Delicious, simple, little treats. Cheers!

Wine Wednesday featuring our Wine Club selections!!! September’s Wine Club is here and we have some very interesting and absolutely delicious options. A lovable Lambrusco, a chillable South African 100% Grenache, an Italian white wine with Garganega and Chardonnay, and a California white wine that shows the terroir capability of calcite in the soil. So if you’re in our wine club…..better come get these because they are mighty special and you might even want them for the first Georgia home game of the year!! If you’re not in wine club and this intrigues you, you can still buy these as separate purchases, and then maybe even join up for next month’s wine club!!! We would love to have ypu! This week saw some losses, one we shall never forget. Goodbye to Dolly Parton. A woman who truly made a difference in our world and was so kind of a spirit, she was known more for the differences she made rather than the money she made. We still have a couple bottles of her brand of wine, Dolly Wines . Although we just have the Chardonnay, this wine’s bottle may now have more of an emotional value than the wine could give us, but we still will sip for you Dolly. Thank you for being a true star of our southern states! We will always love you! 🍷💕

Praise be! Holy Ghost from Parish Brewing Company has come!! This divine triple ipa has notes of intense fresh tropical fruit, grapefruit, black currant and powerful dankness coming through from the Nelson Sauvin, Galaxy, and Citra Cryo hops coming it at 10% ABV.

This one is for the spritz girlies!!! If you are Aperol spritz fans, there’s a new player in the spritz game that you’ll want to try! Sarti Rosa is a new Italian aperitivo that is from the same parent company as Aperol, although this spirit has more than just orange. It has a beautiful mix of blood orange AND mango AND passion fruit, meaning it is extra delicious and extra yummy for these hot summer days. And that’s just by itself. Mix it with a prosecco (like La Marca Prosecco ) and you’ve got yourself your new favorite spritz!!! Cheers to a new school year, new friends, and a new spritz!!!

A post all the parents who dropped off their babies at college. We hope everything went well, but we sure do understand that this is an emotional time. Whether you dropped them off here in Athens at UGA or made the trip elsewhere, this day is for you. You might be happy for the freedom, or sad to say goodbye, but one thing is for sure….you deserve a relaxing Sunday. Italian wines are great way to celebrate you making it through moving, and making it through that goodbye hugs. So cheers to you, parents! No worries! They’re gonna do great and you can cheers to that! 🍷❤️

You are out of your damn mind if you’re hanging out in this heat. Take your butt inside and sit down for a movie and a cocktail, and save that energy for this holiday weekend! This week’s cocktail to movie pairing is a delicious showing of both Halle Berry and the cocktail called the Hemingway Daiquiri, ordered by Bruce Willis’s character in 2007 thriller, Perfect Stranger. With Halle Berry playing a character who is going under cover to try and find her best friend’s killer, who she suspects is a wealthy business man played by Bruce Willis. Although the acting alone carries this film, the Hemingway Daiquiri may just give it a little extra pizzazz! And if you want to make it the way the film portrays the recipe, by all means do, but over the time the true Hemingway Daiquiri is a little different, which is the way we will make it. So, let’s make it!

Ingredients:

- 2 oz light rum (we used Oak House Distillery and Speakeasy
- 1.5 oz grapefruit juice
- 0.5 oz maraschino cherry liqueur
- 0.5 oz lime juice

Shake ingredients with ice and fine strain into martini glass. Garnish with a lime wedge
